DIRECTORS

Mr Harold Woo
Senior Vice President, Investor Relations
CapitaLand Limited
Mr Woo currently serves as the President of IRPAS.  He is Senior Vice President for Investor Relations of CapitaLand Limited, one of the largest property companies in Asia. He joined CapitaLand in 2003 as VP for  Investor Relations.

Prior to CapitaLand, he was Chief Executive Officer of a Singapore based company, specialising in Internet-based financial services and in mobile commerce consulting and enabling services. He has more than 19 years of stockbroking experience in institutional sales, securities trading and investment research.  From 1990 - 1999, he was with Vickers Ballas & Co Pte Ltd, progressing from Director of Institutional Sales to Global Head of Institutional Sales.  Prior to 1990, he was Associate Director at James Capel Far East Limited, an international stock broker.  From 1981 to 1985, he was research manager at Ong & Co Pte Ltd.
 

Mr Lawrence Wong
Executive Vice President
Singapore Exchange Limited
Mr Wong joined the Exchange in April 2006 as Head of Listings to further develop SGX as an Asian gateway for companies seeking to tap international capital markets.

Prior to joining SGX, Mr Wong was part of the senior management team at OCBC Bank. During his tenure with the bank, his portfolio included corporate finance, securities and futures, trustee and nominees businesses, fund management and private equity.

Before OCBC Bank, Mr Wong held several senior positions at Schroders Group, including Head of Corporate Finance for South East Asia and Head of Financial Institutions Group, Asia Pacific. His assignments also included an overseas posting to Shanghai, China, as General Manager of Schroders' joint venture and Head of Corporate Finance for Greater China. Mr Wong holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Singapore.
 

Mr Li Jian Xiong
Vice President
COSCO Corporation
Mr Li has vast knowledge of shipping management and business operations. He joined COSCO Corporation (formerly known as COSCO Investment), one of the largest counters listed on the Singapore Exchange, in April 2001 as vice president.

From 1997 to 2000, Mr Li became Managing Director of Cosco Container Service Ltd; Deputy General Manager of Cosco Pacific Ltd (Listed Company in HK); Deputy Managing Director of Cosco Pacific (China) Investment Co., Ltd. Mr Li joined COSCO Corporation (S) Ltd (formerly known as COSCO Investment (S) Ltd ) in April 2001 as Vice President.
 

Ms Jeannie Ong
Senior Vice President / Head of Corporate Communications & Investor Relations

Jeannie received the Best Investor Relations (IR) Officer in Singapore award by Asiamoney magazine twice in its annual Asiamoney Corporate Governance Poll in 2007 and 2010. She and her team clinched the Best IR award (Gold) at the Singapore Corporate Awards 2010, as well as the Best IR award (Silver) and the Best IR award (Bronze) at the same awards in 2008 and 2009 respectively. They also won the Gold award for IR in Telecom in Singapore at the Triple A Asset Asian Awards 2009.Jeannie has more than 18 years of experience in corporate, financial, marketing and community communications across different industries.

She first commenced her communications career with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore in 1992. Later, she held senior IR and regional corporate and marketing communications positions at leading Singapore companies including IPACS and the then SGX-listed company, Singapore Computer Systems.Jeannie joined StarHub in April 2001 and was involved in bringing the company public in October 2004.

Jeannie holds an honours degree from the University of London, where she majored in Economics and Financial Management.
 

Mr Chng Lay Chew
Chief Financial Officer 
Singapore Exchange Limited

 

 

Mr Chng Lay Chew joined SGX as Chief Financial Officer on 29 December 2011.

Mr Chng has a 32-year track record in accounting and financial management, including leadership positions in leading local and international banks. In his previous role, he was responsible for the finance functions of DBS Group’s operations in all countries outside Singapore. He was also previously CFO of the bank’s Greater China business, supporting the integration and growth of the Hong Kong operations and the expansion into China and Taiwan.  His earlier roles include senior finance positions in JP Morgan’s Singapore, Tokyo and New York offices.

Mr Chng is designated a Certified Public Accountant by both the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Administration degree from New Zealand’s Victoria University.

Ms Judy Han
Senior Vice President, Investor Relations and Communications
SembCorp Marine
Ms Judy Han is the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations and Communications in SembCorp Marine Ltd, a leading marine and offshore engineering group listed on the Singapore Exchange Securities Trading Limited.   She has more than 18 years experience in finance & administration, human resources, investor relations and public relations.  Prior to that, she was working as a research analyst in Hong Kong.  Ms Han holds an Honours degree in Social Sciences (Economics) from the National University of Singapore.

Mr Joseph Chia
General Manager
IRPAS
Joseph is the General Manager for the Investor Relations Professionals Association (Singapore) [IRPAS]. He is also the Executive Director at Maximus Connections and is an international trainer on investor relations, and often guest lectures at professional conferences and tertiary institutions.

Before he started his own firm and consultancy in 2008, Joseph was the IR Manager for ST Engineering and was the company’s official IR spokesperson.   In his capacity, he managed all investor relations functions of the ST Engineering Group, a multi-industry MNC amongst the largest companies listed in Singapore (~ S$10 billion in market capitalisation), with 19,000 staff and operations in more than 20 countries.  

Prior to ST Engineering, Joseph has worked for Keppel Corporation and the Singapore Exchange.

Joseph was awarded Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) qualification in 2003.  He holds a Bachelor of Social Science (Hons) degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Philosophy, both from the National University of Singapore.
